Welcome to the December 2022 Designs by Jude Insider. It has been a magical year with Club Grace and Designs by Jude (and the season is not over yet!), but December and the Holiday Season are a beautiful time to pause and reflect on some of the wonderful memories from the year. Tamara Casey of Designs by Jude has collaborated with the Virtual Doll Convention to create a monthly pattern for Club Grace, a virtual doll club started by VDC for the Grace Marie Fitzpatrick doll designed by Robert Tonner. Each month's designs ranged from casual to fancy to flirty, and each was expertly designed and offered to the members of Club Grace. Along with the patterns. Tamara also created videos for the members to learn how to make the garment. The Club Grace Pattern of the Month from Tamara Casey is “Frosty Air.” The pattern features a fully lined coat dress with long sleeves and a rounded collar. There are four godets in the hemline to add a flirty flare. Also included are a holiday hat and fuzzy muff. Our members were thrilled to receive this pattern which coincided perfectly with the theme for December. You can see a video below on how to make this pattern on Tamara’s YouTube Channel. Read below for an adorable variation of this pattern for a 10” Patsy-sized doll. The pattern was created in sponsorship of the 2022 SPARK campaign to support St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. The other day, we hit 20k subscribers on YouTube. While my account was never about the numbers, it feels surreal to think that so many people actively choose to follow along.
Maybe for the dolls, maybe for Holland Diane, for the adventures or the learning, or because we sometimes think we are funny? (We are pretty entertaining!)
For whatever reason you follow us, I am so grateful for you. I love connecting with all of you through comments or messages, through the sweet doll community we have built together - and yes, I mean together, because if it were just me, this account wouldn't be here today.
So for those who have been following for a while, those who remember the shaky videos when I was out there in the doll world midst, not knowing at all what I was doing but trying to make it happen - thank you! We all start somewhere, and I appreciate seeing those early videos from time to time to remind me how far I have come.
