Tamara Casey Returns to the VDC Subscription Series
One of the great joys of the Virtual Doll Convention subscriptions is bringing together talented artists and creators who share a love of dolls and craftsmanship. We are absolutely delighted that Tamara Casey of Designs by Jude is once again collaborating with our VDC subscription series.
Tamara has been a longtime favorite among doll collectors, and her beautifully engineered sewing patterns allow collectors to create truly stunning garments for their dolls. For the current Ellowyne Wilde subscription, Tamara will design four patterns across the twelve-month series, adding special sewing projects that perfectly complement the monthly themes.
For Grace Marie Fitzpatrick’s Historical Subscription, Tamara will be creating a new pattern every month, which is incredibly exciting for collectors who enjoy recreating historical fashion in miniature.
The most recent pattern Tamara created for Ellowyne Wilde debuted in January 2026 and quickly became an instant favorite with collectors. The pattern, titled “Ribbons and Bows,” captures the glamour of classic 1950s fashion.
The design features a strapless dress with a dramatic double-circle skirt, embellished with elegant satin ribbon and bow details. The dress is fully lined and closes neatly with a snap-back closure, making it both beautiful and practical for doll collectors.
The ensemble also includes a sharp bolero jacket with ¾-length sleeves and a fold-down collar that adds just the right touch of sophistication. A tulle underskirt completes the look and supports the full vintage silhouette that makes the design so striking on Ellowyne.
Collectors immediately fell in love with the timeless style of this pattern, and it has been wonderful seeing the many different fabric interpretations created by talented members of the VDC community.
Regal Court for Grace’s Historical Wardrobe
Tamara also kicked off the Grace Marie Fitzpatrick Historical Subscription at the end of January 2026 with the magnificent pattern “Regal Court.”
Designed specifically for the 16.5-inch RTB101 Grace dolls, this elegant ensemble reflects the grandeur of 18th-century court fashion. The sewing pattern features a floor-sweeping gown with a strapless bodice and snap closure, creating a beautifully structured foundation.
Layered over the gown is a dramatic open-front overdress made from rich brocade fabric, complete with ¾-length sleeves and contrasting cuffs. The front edges are lavishly trimmed and finished with decorative bows at both the bodice and sleeves, giving the outfit a regal presence that feels perfectly suited for a palace ballroom or masquerade.
The design captures the elegance and theatrical beauty of historical court attire, making it a wonderful addition to Grace’s growing historical wardrobe.
Tutorials, Inspiration, and Ready-Made Creations
Beyond her sewing patterns, Tamara continues to support the collector community through her YouTube channel, where she shares detailed tutorials for many of her designs. Her channel has now grown to over 17,000 subscribers, and it’s a wonderful resource for collectors who enjoy learning new sewing techniques.
Tamara is also continually adding new pieces to the “Ready-Made Boutique” section of her website. These are beautifully sewn garments created from her patterns for collectors who prefer to purchase finished outfits rather than sew them themselves. It is always fun to check back and see what new pieces she has added for a variety of dolls.
Some of our current favorites are the blue and white Regal Court for Grace, the red sparkle gown for Anne, and the ivory and gold brocade gown for Ellowyne or Neema dolls.
A Treasure Trove for Doll Collectors
Tamara’s website is truly a treasure trove for collectors. In addition to her patterns, you will often find pattern sales, scene props, jewelry, wigs, and many other accessories that bring dolls and displays to life.
We are so grateful to have Tamara collaborating once again with the VDC subscription programs, and we cannot wait to see the beautiful designs she will bring to Ellowyne and Grace throughout the coming year.
Be sure to visit Designs by Jude and explore everything Tamara has to offer — it is a wonderful destination for creativity and inspiration in the doll collecting world.
