Virtual Banquet Ingredients (Serves 6) 

On Sunday January 13th we will have a Virtual Cook-Along with David Robinson at his home in Pacific Grove, California. The cooking is tentatively scheduled between 4:30PM PST to 5PM PST but we will know more exact times for you better on Saturday, January 12th. We will communicate with you as much as we can regarding prep, exact times of broadcasts, and work together to make this meal a wonderful success for ALL!

All of these ingredients are for 6 people. Please adjust accordingly. For vegetarians, please sub some kind of protein into the dish such as hearty beans or grilled tofu on the side.

 

Appetizer: Fresh Artichokes with Caper Vinaigrette Ingredients

6 fresh medium-sized artichokes

1 fresh lemon

Salt

Garlic powder

Olive oil

Salad oil

Red wine vinegar

Parsley flakes

Capers

Dijon mustard

Granulated sugar

Catsup

Salt

Black pepper

Good quality mayonnaise

Main Course: Italian Farmhouse Chicken

12 sm. to med. or 6 large boneless chicken thighs
I lb. Italian pork sausage, or turkey sausage
1 large yellow onion
2 cloves fresh garlic
3 fresh red bell peppers
Olive oil
2 - 14 oz. cans chopped tomatoes
Tomato paste
Granulated sugar
Bunch of fresh basil
1 lemon for zesting
Dijon mustard
Fresh ground pepper
Salt

Serve with mashed potatoes, garlic infused or Parmesan infused, and a green vegetable such as fresh brussels sprouts or string beans.

 

Dessert: Apple Walnut Cake

5 Tart Apples such as Granny Smith

Juice of 1 fresh lemon
All-purpose flour
Granulated sugar
Eggs
1 cup walnuts (optional - 1 cup of fresh cranberries can be substituted)
Salad oil
Baking soda
Salt
Cinnamon
Vanilla

Vanilla ice cream, fresh whipped cream, and/or warm caramel sauce as a topping.
